How to Make Gold in WoW with Less Time Spent

Feb 15 2010

Hit Gold CapOne of the most obnoxious parts of World of Warcraft is the process of making gold. Players who want to make gold in WoW often have to spend hours a day farming for it in various ways. They need to go out and farm on old instances, mining nodes, herbalism nodes, and a dozen other ways that are highly tedious after a few weeks of the same thing. Which is why many players will jump at any chance they can to make gold in WoW without farming for it so often.

How To Stop Used Games

Feb 01 2010

What do you think of the new Cerberus Network; the in-game downloadable distribution channel?

The idea is that as the initial owner of a retail version of a game, you get to download some additional pieces. However, if you are buying the game used, then those downloads will cost you moola!

For Mass Effect 2, players who pick the game up used need to drop 15 dollars in order to only have the ability to get the DLC that BioWare might release in the coming months for the title.

(note: DLC stands for “DownLoadable Content”. It refers to downloadable add-ons for games, like new maps or new characters.)

4 Steps To Safe WOW Gold Buying

Motion Sensing Controllers for PS3 and XBox

Jan 21 2010

Both Sony and Microsoft plan on releasing motion-sensing controllers in 2010.

Sony originally said it would introduce the controller this spring, but is now delaying the release of its new motion-sensing controller for the PlayStation 3 game console until autumn.

The new release date gives Sony more time to accumulate a “comprehensive portfolio of titles to choose from at launch.”

This may still bring the new PS3 controller out before the XBox version, which games rival Microsoft Corp. aims to release in time for the end-of-year holiday season. Supposedly the Microsoft entry (Project Natal) eliminates the need for a controller altogether by using the body’s movements to control on-screen actions.

A Newcomer’s Guide To World Of Warcraft

Jan 19 2010

By: Hunter Crowell

World of Warcraft has been massively successful and has exceeded the normal popularity of a role-playing title. The main reason for this is that it is very accessible and straightforward, and it is not difficult to play it. Even if you are completely new to gaming you shouldn’t have any problems getting started.

World of Warcraft is an easy game to set up. It comes on 4 discs that you install on your computer. You then have to create a game account. Your access to the game’s world involves paying a monthly subscription via credit card or an equivalent. The typical subscription rate is $14.95 per month. The first month is usually free as part of your purchase. The subscription can be paid every month, or every three months or six months if you prefer.

Wii Nunchuk

Jan 13 2010

Here is where I and Nintendo have a little disagreement.

We spend a couple of hundred to get the Wii machine, as much as $50 or more each to get some good games, some more yet to get additional controllers (expensive due to sensors inside) and then I find out that some (many?) of the games will not work well without nunchuks!!! What’s a Nunchuk?

That said, the family loves this beast, and the sensor feature in the controllers is awesome!
